Who is eligible to register

After completing the simple registration process, the Aetna International Provider Portal can be accessed by International Providers including - Physicians, Dentists, Group Practices, Hospitals, Clinics, Pharmacies, and other International Healthcare providers. Providers located in the United States should visit
www.aetna.com/healthcare-professionals/index.html for registration.

Login terminology

Term Definition
User Name Your user name

> Must contain at least one letter and at least one number
> Must be between 8 and 40 characters
> Can contain the following special characters: _ * ~ & @

Password Your case-sensitive password must:

> Be between 8 and 20 characters
> Not be the same (or contain) your username
> Not be the same as the answer to your security question
> Not be your first name initial followed by your last name

> Must contain Non-alphanumeric character, such as: $ @ # %

> Must contain atleast two of the following three character groups:

- English uppercase character (A to Z)
- English lowercase character (a to z)
- Number (0 through 9)

Lost your User Name? This help option will tell you your user name instantly if your responses to an online form exactly match the information you gave at registration.
Lost your Password? This help option will permit you to create and verify a new password if your responses to an online form correctly answers the security question you gave at registration.

I keep getting an error message when I try to log in. What am I doing wrong?

If you receive an error during registration, the following issue(s) may have occurred:
A. If you are a U.S. based healthcare professional, please visit www.aetna.com/healthcare-professionals/index.html
B. Provider Information Verification Failed. Please verify that you have entered the following information correctly during the registration process.

  • Registration ID is correct
  • Provider name is correct
  • Address is correct

If you are still receiving an error message, please contact the Aetna International Service Center at +1 800 231 7729 (toll free) or +1 813 775 0190 (collect) or email to AetnaInternationalProviderWeb@aetna.com

If you receive an error during login, the following issue(s) may have occurred:
A. If you have entered incorrect login information 3 consecutive times, your account will be locked and you will be asked to reset your password.
B. If you have entered incorrect information in response to the security question 5 consecutive times, your account will be disabled.

To enable your account, please e-mail AetnaInternationalProviderWeb@aetna.com with the following information.

  • Registration ID
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Date of birth

I've forgotten my e-mail. How do I retrieve it?

Forgotten User Names: All Healthcare professionals

If you have forgotten your user name, you can click on the "Lost your user name" link and you will be prompted to provide:

  • Registration ID
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Date of birth

Upon providing the information correctly, you will be presented with your user name. If this step fails, please email AetnaInternationalProviderWeb@aetna.com for assistance.

I've forgotten my password. How do I retrieve it?

Forgotten Password: All Healthcare professionals

If you have forgotten your password, you can click on the "Lost your password?" link, and you will be prompted to enter your user name , date of birth and to answer the security question that you provided as part of your registration to the Provider Portal website. Upon answering the question correctly, you will be prompted to select a new password for entry into the site. If this step fails and you've entered incorrect information 5 consecutive times or you have forgotten the answer to your security question, please email AetnaInternationalProviderWeb@aetna.com for assistance.
